A total of 335 overseas Filipinos have been confirmed to have coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) including four fatalities as of Sunday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
Two of the fatalities were in Europe, while the other two in Asia Pacific and Middle East/Africa regions. In an update, the DFA said 111 of them have already recovered and been discharged while 220 are still undergoing treatment.
At least 30 countries and regions reported Filipinos with COVID-19 infection.
Most of the reported cases came from the Asia Pacific with 173. Europe reported 86 cases and Middle East/Africa region reported 47 cases, while Americas have 29 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In the Philippines, the death toll from COVID-19 climbed to 71 on Sunday after the Department of Health reported three new fatalities. With 343 new confirmed cases, the total reached 1,418. --Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
