Lee Min Ho And Kim Go Eun Have An Intriguing First Encounter In “The King: Eternal Monarch”

SBS’s upcoming drama “The King: Eternal Monarch” has revealed stills of the moment Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun first meet. The drama is a fantasy romance that takes place across two parallel universes of Korea being an empire and a democratic country, following the story of emperor Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) and detective Jung Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun) as they work together to avert a crisis.

The new stills show the moments leading up to Lee Gon suddenly pulling Jung Tae Eul in for a hug on their first encounter. Lee Gon shows up in the middle of the city on a white horse, surprising everyone, and when he runs into Jung Tae Eul, he gives her a longing look after which he wraps her in an embrace.

A source from Hwa&Dam Pictures said, “Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun are experts of romance, able to relay so many emotions and words through their eyes alone. Please look forward to the incredible potential of Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun, who are the first [lead] actors to work with writer Kim Eun Sook for a second time.” “The King: Eternal Monarch” is set to air in April as the follow-up to “Hyena.”
