Another cop dies from COVID-19, one more tests positive –PNP

Another police officer died from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total Philippine National Police deaths to two, the  PNP Health Service said Saturday.

In a Facebook post, the PNP also reported that one more cop tested positive for the virus, bringing the total number of cases within the agency to 14.

No details were given on the cases.

Meanwhile, the PNP had 249 persons under investigation and 1,644 persons under monitoring for possible COVID-19 infection.

In previous reports, PNP chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa said that many of the PUIs and PUMs were asymptomatic.

As of Saturday, health authorities reported a total of 3,094 COVID-19 cases nationwide with 144 fatalities and 57 recoveries. — DVM, GMA News
